Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Grandpa Joe: Open it, Charlie. Let's see that Golden Ticket.
CHARLIE: Wouldn't that be fantastic?
MRS. BUCKET: It's not fair to raise his hopes.
GRANDPA JOE: Never mind. Go on, open it, Charlie. I want to see that gold.
MRS. BUCKET: Stop it, Dad.
CHARLIE: I've got the same chance as anybody else, haven't I?
GRANDPA JOE: You've got more, Charlie, because you want it more. Go on, open it.
This text reminds me about our Indigo Love of Reading Grant application! Wouldn't it be so fantastic if our school actually won???Winners will be announced this week! Like Grandpa Joe said, We've got more of a chance "...because [we]want it more!" When I look back at all the wonderful things our school has done to promote literacy, I know in my heart we are already winners for what we do everyday :) Congratulations to you all, students, parents and SJE staff for your great efforts to promote literacy each and every day:)

Ice Breakers

I give this book a 4.This book is all about ships that can beat up ice for all other boats that can.t.Ice breakers are big and strong because they are made up of steel that is very thick and also there front of the boat is call a bow.The hull that is under the bow is shape like a knife .This helps the icebreakers cut through the ice .If it wasn.t for icebrakers it would be very hard for other small boats do there job because of the thick ice that there is around in some places. Millions of Insects

This book is about insects. I know this because in each visual there is a picture of a bug. I also know this because the title is Millions of Insects. This reminds me of when I was in the Insectarium in Deer Lake . There was a room with lots of butterflies one of them landed on me!
This is a relly great book. I would give it 5 stars
