It's hard to pick a favourite part of our Campfire Literacy Afternoon! I thought Shawn did an awesome job with the retelling of Mortimer! It was great fun doing the interactive story The Legend of Lightning Larry by Aaron Sheppard. I think the most fun I had was getting parents, teachers and students involved! It was terrific to see all the big smiles!! The campfires looked so real and the campfire songs really set the mood of a campfire scene! I think you all enjoyed building and eating your edible campfires! The QDPA was fantastic too! I thought it was awesome to see so many parents at our campfire!
Thank you, Grade Threes for showing everyone how to do the action songs! You all did great! Thank you to everyone who helped make our campfire a great success!
Have you read the newspaper this week? Mr. Hunt has an article written about our Campfire Literacy Afternoon!! There are also lots of pictures and captions! So, take out The Coaster and read this fantastic article about our special school event!!
