Campfire Literacy Day!!!!

Campfire Literacy was AWESOME!!!!! I didn't have a favorite part because all of it was fun!!! At the beginning it felt like we were in a real campfire at night!!! The lights were off and the fire was on!!!! Next Shawn told a book called Mortimer! It was about a baby that sang at night. All the time his family came up and said MORTIMER!!!BE QUIET!!! Then Mortimer sang his song!!!! Then we started to sing campfire songs!!! My favorite was Down by the Bay!!! It was time to eat ! So we went to the picnic blanket!!!We were supposed to make a fire with our food. Cheerios for the rocks, pretzels and cheeses were for the wood and last of all red candies for the fire! I had it half eaten when Mrs. Stone came and gave out the marshmallows!!!Then we had some hot chocolate!!!! Q.D.P.A was next. We pretended we were walking all around Newfoundland! Each place we were we had to do an action for it! I think campfire literacy day was awesome!!!!!!!!!

  1. I think it was awesome too, Kiara! It was just like we were all at a campfire! The best part for me was seeing all the smiles on everybody's faces:))Doesn't get much better than that! What book are you reading now? I bought a Nancy Drew book for Taylor yesterday. I used to read that series when I was a little girl! I couldn't get enough of those books!! Have you read any Nancy drew books? I'll have to get some of that series for our classroom! I think you would really like those books :)
